John Van Note has been a lawyer with the firm since graduating from Drake University Law School in 1994.  

John's practice is focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and dispositions, conventional loans and financing, municipal financing (including tax incremental financing), bond financing, residential and commercial condominium development, condominium and homeowners associations, low-income housing tax credits, federal and state historic tax credits, municipal and zoning approvals, property management, entity formation and general business and contract law. John also advises landlords and tenants in lease transactions involving commercial and residential properties.  

John has been listed in Best Lawyers in America under the specialty of real estate law since 2009 and was listed in Wisconsin Super Lawyers  as a Wisconsin Rising Star for top Wisconsin lawyers under 40 in 2006 and 2007.
