Theodore C. "Tripp" Widder

Tripp Widder graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1971, where he achieved Order of the Coif. He then clerked for the Honorable Wallace Kent on Sixth United States Court of Appeals. 

He next worked as a legislative assistant to Congressman Garry Brown in Washington D.C. While in Washington, he also was a lecturer at the Catholic University School of Law, teaching commercial transactions. 

He joined the firm in 1976 and has been a partner since that time. Tripp’s practice emphasizes real estate transactions of all kind, including real estate development, acquisition, finance, commercial leasing, and condominiums. Tripp also represents and has significant experience with small and medium sized businesses and matters encountered by such business organizations. 

Tripp has been active in civic and local affairs serving on the boards of various community organizations, including the Madison Public Library Board of which he has been president for the past ten years. 

Tripp has an AV rating from Martindale Hubble and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1993.
